Resumen:
The incorporation of different nanomaterials presenting conductive properties such as polyaniline nanoparticles (PANI NP), polypyrrole nanoparticles (PPy NP), and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) in several kinds of polymeric matrices (e.g., electrospun mats, hydrogels, or films) is presented. The optimization of procedures for their obtention and full characterization of relevantphysicochemical, thermal, and spectroscopic aspects are described. Interestingly, conductive nanofillers allow the tuning of novel properties on the matrices. Among otherkey aspects, the responsivity to Near Infrared Radiation (NIR) and radiofrequency (RF)gives the nanocomposite generated materials potential capability to be applied in thebiomedical field, especially in light-activated therapies (e.g., PTT) and the development ofadvanced functional scaffolds for tissue regeneration.
