Resumen:
This study investigates the feasibility of achieving carbide free microstructures in low alloy Thin Wall Ductile Iron after dissolution heat treatments. Annealing treatments dissolved more than 90% of as cast carbides present in the thinner wall samples, while the dissolution was below 30% for the 13 and 25mm Y-block samples.
