Resumen:
The widely accepted expression for conductance in polycrystalline metal oxides cannot take into account of the observed decrease in conductance of nanostructured grains with respect to larger ones at certain temperatures. We provide here an explanation suggesting that tunnelling barrier crossing has a comparable importance to thermionic in ruling the conductance of these materials.
