In this framework, where governmental narratives and educational programs were being reconfigured, we undertook a research project that aimed to discover the pedagogical devices’ proposals for change as articulated in official documents in what we call  management societies. The educational reform of the nineties emerged proposing the need to change the now old punishment devices. Our study revolves around the statements that we understand to be constructing regimes of truth (Foucault, 1980). In this analysis, we focus on the ruptures/changes proposed by these documents. We maintain that these statements articulate a new rationality, one that calls on subjectivity to be flexible and adaptable, to reform itself, to be held accountable for the production of its own life.
