Resumen:
The Nickel Boride has showed to be an suitable catalyst for hydrogenation of multiple bonds (C-C, C=C, C=O) as much as the Níquel Raney [1]. These catalytic activity [2] can be modified by the introduction, in some of the preparation steps, of one or more different metals. This introduction produces a modification in the distribution of the electronic states and consequently in the  Fermi level that allows a selection for modification of the balance, with the chemisorbed forms, when varying the bonding energy. It is well known that promoters plays a key role in the performance of Ni Boride catalysts, because it is able to act as an electron donor to nickel, which make nickel d-band less electron deficient and thus influences the adsorption of the reacting species [3,4]. In this work the effect of Co, and a combination of Cr and Fe and Mn and Cu and Zn promoters on the performance of Ni Boride catalysts in the D-glucose hydrogenation  has been investigated
