Resumen:
The feasibility of preparing metallic boride of first transition series elements using the reduction method with BH3 - THF in homogeneous phase was studied. This method has been broadly used for the preparation of pure nickel boride and doped nickel boride with another metal in minority proportions.   Starting from soluble salts in methanol of the transition metals got ready boruros of Cr, Ni, Co, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn for reduction with the complex BH3 - THF, the relationship metal / boron of the reaction products was determined through chemical analysis by Atomic Absorption and characterized using  DRX, BET and magnetic Susceptibility.  All the obtained boride was amorphous to the diffraction of X-rays, presents variable magnetic susceptibility, related with the nature of metal, as well as the relationship Me / B varying between  3 at 1 and they possess a specific surface from 10 to 20 m2 / g.  Preparation of Ni, Co, Fe and Cu boride was possible. The results for Cr, Mn and Zn, show that it was not satisfactory since the yield is very low and a mixture of products was obtained.
