Resumen:
The preimaginal stages of Pyractomena borealis (Randall 1838) are
described and illustrated. Information on the biology is also included. A
detailed description of the functional morphology of the holdfast organ of the
larva is presented together with a schematic illustration, step by step, of the
eversion process. Instructions on rearing techniques are also provided.
