Intense sampling in the upper BermejoRiver basin revealed the presence of specimens ofthe aspredinid genus Bunocephalus. After detailedmorphological and morphometric analyses specimenswere identified as Bunocephalus doriae. This is the firstrecord of any member of the Aspredinidae in the upperBermejo River basin.
