Resumen:
In the present work we study the influence of collisions on the profiles of visible and infrared hydrogen lines arising from extended atmospheres of early-type stars. In order to account for this influence, a Voigt function is adopted for representing the line profile function instead of a classical gaussian one. Preliminary results for a model atmosphere are presented and the relevance of the damping coefficient on the profiles is discussed.
