Resumen:
Between November 11 and 12, 2017, the southeastern region of Tunisiaexperienced an intense rainfall event. Precipitation amounts reached, in many cases, the annual total. The climatic analysis of the event demonstrates the role of the azonal circulation of the eastern sector, source of the heavy rainsaffecting eastern Tunisia in general, associated with a meridional circulation of the eorthern sector. Although hourly rainfall amounts were light to moderate, the important amounts of rainfall had considerable effects on theJessour hydraulic system. In the Zammour region, on the Dahar Plateau, 85 % of these observed hydro-agricultural structures were affected by these rains and 34 % became non-functional following a major destructionaffecting one or more of their components.
