Resumen:
Freezing of gait (FOG) is a motor disorder mostly presented in Par-kinson´s Disease patients. Freezing is characterized by sudden episodes inwhich the patient is inable to make a step. Patients, in general elderly people, with an advanced Parkinson, describe this disability as the sensation of havingtheir feet stuck in the ground so it is impossible for them to perform a normalgait. This causes a significant fall risk and the consequences often are seriousfor the person?s health. The herein project proposes an assistive device to help patients with Freezing ofGate, using visual and auditory stimulation. The device is attached to the pa-tient?s food and it is controlled by a Mobile App.This preliminary approach is intended to get data from clinical trials anddebelop the final device according with these results, with a control strategysupported by clinical evidence.
