Resumen:
Chronic venous leg ulcer (CLVU) arises as a complication of chronic venous insufficiency. This high recurrence pathology has an overallprevalence ranging up to 2% in general population, causing an important reduction in life quality and large financial costs for patients and healthcare system. To get a better diagnostic and treatment, it?s crucial to identificate the parameters involved in this pathology, being the exudate(wound fluid) composition a biochemical representation of the clinical state of a wound. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy associatedto other clinical parameters would help to get a clinical represent-image for each case. The aim of this work is to propose FTIR spectroscopy as a novel and versatile technique to get a physico-chemical characterization of exudatesamples to get a better diagnostic in a less-invasive and simply way
