Resumen:
The Atlantic Forest has severe conservation problems: only 12-16% remains, it is highly fragmented and less than 2.8% is under strict protection. One of the best-preserved remnants is in Misiones, Argentina, where this ecoregion reaches its southwestern limit. Because of altitudinal and forest type differences within the province, we hypothesized that exist regional differences in bird richness and community composition.
