Resumen:
We intend
to use lytic bacteriophages as a tool to eliminate vancomycin-resistant
enterococci from the bowel of the colonized patients. In the first step, we
isolate and characterize two lytic phages. One of them was a priori considered
appropriate because it was active almost every tested Enterococcus including VRE and different enterococcal species, but
not again others bacteria.
