Resumen:
Pyrolysis is one of the most promising technologies that allows the conversion of Biomass Waste into a liquid product, called bio-oil, which can be used as feedstock for fuels and valuable chemicals obtaining. In the present research work, the production of bioliquid were carried out in a fixed bed reactor through catalytic pyrolysis of pear pulp waste from processing of pears for the manufacture of juices and jams. Initially, pre-liminary experiments were carried out at temperatures between 300-450 ºC for 15 minutes, under N2 atmosphere and under vacuum conditions without catalysts to investigate the effect of temperature on the yield of produced liquid oil. The analysis of the reaction products of the obtained bioliquid was carried out in a gas chromatograph coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS). After determination of optimum temperature, experiments were carried out on a catalytic system composed of a mesoporous material xCe/SBA-15, with x= 0, 5 and 10%. These catalysts were characterized by XRD, BET area, SEM, Raman spectroscopy, and TGA. The 10Ce/SBA-15 catalyst showed to be more active to produce Furfural, obtaining a yield of 26% and a selectivity of 57%. This compound is very valuable for its applications in the manufacture of plastics, or for the chemical base of herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides.
