Resumen:
Collagen and chitosan are two biopolymers often used in hydrogels for tissue engineering applications1,2. Both have complementary benefits: the non-rapid biodegradability and good mechanical properties of chitosan and the cellular adhesion of collagen. Blends of them using different techniques were developed for corneal applications, skeletal muscle tissue, islet transplantation, endothelial and skin tissue3?7,9 among others. But, as far as we know, these two biomaterials have not been used for 3D-bioprinting yet. With the aim of developing chitosan-collagen inks, rheological studies were performed. Dynamic viscosity of different Collagen:Chitosan inks were measured and correlated with their capacity to be printed (printability: Pr).
