Abstract: Endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms with braided devices is a high efficacy alternative employed by interventional neuro-radiologists to avoid the aneurysm rupture and the consequential hemorrhage. Inthis work, we studied the deployment of a Woven Endobridge (WEB), a novel braided device employed for treataneurysms with a complex shape. The selection of appropriate WEB size is crucial to promote a complete occlusionof the aneurysm and depends, in addition to the location, shape and size of the aneurysm, of the final configuration thatthe WEB will adopt when it is released into the aneurysm. This aspect is difficult to predict, for that computationalmethods developed to deployment simulation of these devices prove to be a very useful tool during treatment planning.We present a method that will allow to know the final configuration of a WEB after implantation.
