Resumen:
Differentiation of pluripotent stem cells (PSC) into cardiomyocytes is a resourceful strategy to gain insight into gene regulatory networks that govern cardiac development and commitment. Recently, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to take part as important players of these networks by fine tuning epigenetic, transcriptional and post-transcriptional gene expression, although there is still much to unravel about their precise molecular mechanisms. The aim of this study was to thoroughly characterize lncRNAs genes that are differentially expressed in cardiac differentiation from human induced PSC.We performed RNAseq on three cellular populations: PSC, early mesoderm progenitor cells (MPC) and cardiomyocyte progenitor cells (CPC). Initial assessment of data revealed homogeneous FPKM distribution and high inter-replicate correlation indices. Next, we identified 2208 differentially expressed (DE) lncRNA genes (log2|FC| >1; p-adjusted
