Resumen:
Tritium contents in the Southern Hemisphere have been lower than in Northern Hemisphere due to the intensity of the bomb-peak, but also for natural production. However, the input in precipitation in large areas of Argentina is still high (6-8 TU), and consequently it is in measurable amounts in groundwater. This allows the application in streamwater studies. Tritium is, and probably will continue being, a powerful tracer for hydrologic studies in the province of Buenos Aires.
