Resumen:
During storage under standard blood bank conditions, changes in RBC aggregation, considered a major factor responsible for the blood flow properties, have been observed. Therefore, the measurements of erythrocyte aggregation is important for quantifying flow abnormalities in blood for transfusion. Evaluation of RBC aggregation has been performed by several different experimental techniques such as: laser backscattering, partition assay (P), aggregate shape parameter (ASP) and binding of the cationic dye alcian blue.
