Resumen:
The main objective of this work was to study the dissociation kinetics of agglutinated human erythrocytes using a devide developed for us to measure laser backscattering. This technique is based in measuring the light intensity backscattered by the particles in suspension, which is inversely proportional to the particle sizes. When the analyzed particles are RBC agglutinates under shear stress, the technique allows the study of the dissociation kinetic. The developed device consists of two concentric cylinders, being the outer one transparent and able to rotate at different rotation speeds, between 0.3 and 7.6 Hz. In the present work, intercellular adhesion phenomenon for agglutinates of human RBC at different shear rates was studied.
