Resumen:
AbstractAs neurosciences advance theoretically and methodologically, while gaining social importance and legitimacy, different activities view themself challenged by uses of neuroscientific theories and technologies, education is one of them. The neuroeducational program proposes that neuroscientist can use their theories and methods to improve education, for example by finding early markers of dyslexia, or developing attentional training for children with ADHD. The objective of this presentation is to review and critically analyze the science model of the neuroeducational program and how it is implemented locally. For this purpose a review was made on the translational science model and the analogy with the development of medicine, both proposed by scientist of the field. Then some reasons are advanced to consider that local implementation responds to this model. Finally, in the critical analysis it is argued that there are both internal problems to the translational science model and problems on is local implementation, that render inappropriate the model, so an alternative needs to be constructed.
