Resumen:
The complexity of the internal structures of nowadays composites makes necessary to improve the analysis tools, in order to characterize properly the composite Performance. This is specially important when the analysis wants to be conducted in the non-linear range.Among the different available methods. Homogenization methods (or double scale methods) are gaining strength. There are different procedures available to conduct double scale simulations. Asymptotic expansion, first and second order homogenizations, etc.Of those, this work uses a first order homogenization in which the periodic boundary conditions of the RVE are defined with a node collapse (Otero,et al.2015)Homogenization methods are computationally very expensive. Unless having large computational means, nowadays simulations are reduced to:1.Linear analyses.2.Failure prediction of the RVE material for a given load pattern.
