Resumen:
The
numerical analysis of an experimental test during solidification is performed.
For this purpose, a thermo-plastic constitutive model to simulate the
solidification process in casting problems was developed. The model, formulated
in a macroscopically point of view, takes in to account the different thermal and
mechanical effects that occur in the solid, mushy and liquid phases.
A staggered
scheme is employed to salve the highly non-linear coupled energy and
equilibrium finite element equations.
Furthermore
the variations in thermal and mechanical boundary conditions are also
discussed.
