Resumen:
A thermoelasto-plastic constitutive model to simulate the solidification problem in casting is presented. The model is based on a hyperelastic material Lagrangian formulation taking into account the thermal and mechanical effects for the solid and (almost) liquid phases during solidificatíon.Thermal phase change effects are also induded and coupled with the non linear finite element equations of the mechanical model.Possibilities of the model to solve a liquid-solid problem in casting are discussed.An example of solidification including phase change, temperature-dependent constitutive properties and a not penalized contact approach is presented.
