Resumen:
A procedure to evaluate the damage of reinforced concrete structures subjected to seismic actions is developed. A local damage constitutive model based on Kachanov's theory is developed. The structural model, which includes the local damage constitutive law, is used within a finite element discretization. A global damage index based on potential energy is deduced. Numerical examples are finally given.
