Resumen:
The procedure to evaluate the damage of reinforced concrete structures described in references (1,2), is enabled in this paper to deal with the behaviour of a nuclear power plant containment shell. The structural model is used within a finite element frame, using layered revolution shell finite elements deduced from the layered Timoshenko beam element (1,2). Numerical examples, obtained using this approach, are finally shown.
