In this article we address the main coordinates around which each age constructed the hegemonic ways of being and becoming human. First, we focus on the figure of the hunter and the different interpretations of human evolution. In a second stage, we consider the figure of the heroic soldier starting from the institution of the funeral oration in ancient Greece. In a third stage, we stop at the figure of the bread delivery man in modern times. From this paraphrase, we wonder about the place of vulnerability in the construction of hegemonic masculinity. Finally, we propose a feminist ethic of care that, by giving space to the constitutive vulnerability of the human serves as a basis for daily practices of care for itself, for others and for the web of life, as well as a basis for individual and collective proposals for the cultivation of new masculinities
