Gallino L, Fraccaroli L, Grasso E, Hauk V, Calo G, Pérez LC, Ramhorst RImmunopharmacology Laboratory, School of Sciences, University ofBuenos Aires, IQUIBICEN?CONICET, ArgentinaBackground: Based on the immunoregulatory properties of the vasoactiveintestinal peptide (VIP) we investigated VIP effects in implantation sites ofthis high resortion mating.Methods: CBAxDBA and CBAxBALB mating females were studied on d9 ofgestation. Implantation sites were isolated after in vivo VIP treatment(1nmol ip) or PBS performed on d6. VIP/VPAC, RORgT and cytokineexpression was assessed by RTPCR (Protocol approved by School ofSciences Ethics Committee).Results: VIP and their receptor VPAC1 was expressed in uterus andinduced at d9 of pregnancy. Moreover, VIP induced a significant increase inIL-10 and Foxp3 expression while decreased IL-17 and RORgT in theimplantation sites.
