The objective of this paper is the analysis of geometric parameters of the Managua river basin, following the criteria proposed by Horton (1945) and Strahler (1957) and taking as reference the values for each parameter determined by Busnelli (2009) and Toledo (2005), in basins of the region.The town of Colalao del Valle is located in the Managua river basin, about 194.6 km far from the city of Tucumán, in the Santa María valley. It is a fifth order basin with dendritic to subdendritic drainage design, whose torrential regime has caused numerous inconveniences, mainly in the population of Colalao del Valle. The hydrogeomorphological parameters described are basic information for flood risk studies in the area.
