Un viaje en el tiempo: ¿La dinámica de la estructura arbórea del bosque sigue la misma trayectoria en áreas con y sin cobertura de bambú?

We investigated the dynamics of the basal area of the forest tree community in areas withand without bamboo cover in a subtropical forest over the long term. We found that areaswith and without bamboo cover showed different trends in horizontal tree communitystructure over 20 years. In areas with no bamboo cover, the basal area of the trees tended toincrease over the years, whereas in areas with bamboo cover, the basal area of the treestended to decrease. These forest disturbances may persist over time and change thestructure and functionality of these forests.
