Resumen:
Polymeric hydrogels are cross-linked polymerscontaining a large amount of aqueous media. Theformation of nanocomposites, with a polymerichydrogel matrix, could add new properties due to thecombination of the properties of the included materialand the matrix.[1] Electrochemical methods (EM) areuseful to study interfacial properties as well as masstransport in viscous media. Since hydrogels could beloaded with hydrophobic species (e.g. organicchelates), EM could be used to detect them or usethem as probes of physicochemical properties.[2]Additionally, the included material in nanocompositescould act as a 3D porous electrode. In the presentcommunication, we describe the electrochemical studyof acrylamide based hydrogels and nanocompositesbearing a hydrogel matrix. Among the includedmaterials are conducting polymers, metal (Ag, Cu)nanoparticles and graphene.
