Coherence and baryogenesis

We present some of the basic but non-trivial aspects of mechanisms for generating the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe based on the coherent propagation of neutrinos almost degenerate in mass. The focus is on the fundamental role that coherence has in baryogenesis, with the aim of discussing how a deep understanding of coherence may help explain one of the biggest mysteries of cosmology.
