Resumen:
This paper analyses the financialisation process in developing and emerging economies, driven by developments in the international economy. We review quantitative and qualitative changes in the last three decades, in terms of actors and instruments involved. Based on this analysis, we suggest some policy advices, particularly with regard to capital controls and financial flows risks.
