Resumen:
Interoception is composed of multimodal signals sensed by receptors of pressure and temperature, as well as biochemical receptors and nociceptors. Chemical senses and pain perceptionare ?bodily mapped?signals from the external environment intrinsically related to interoceptive signaling. Thus, interoception would contain sensations centered on a core internal visceral and blood composition (internal stream) and an external input consisting of taste, smell and pain (external stream).Jointly, they trigger the emergence of multimodal interoceptivea wareness. Through four interoceptive testing, we found that two possible separate streams for body awareness afferents that might involve fronto-insulo temporal networks for interoceptive and contextual integration
