Resumen:
This case seeks to make a contribution to the knowledge of strategies to distribute agroecologically produced vegetables in the Buenos Aires metropolitanregion, Argentina. Specifically, the marketing experience of bolsones (bags ofseasonal vegetables) will be discussed. This is an extensive practice amongmany organisations of vegetable producers working under an agroecologicalframework in different places throughout Argentina. The marketing of thesebolsones is carried out by an organisation of producers who base their workin Florencio Varela, Province of Buenos Aires: the Asociaci´on de ProductoresHort´ıcolas 1610. Its members began their collective construction process overten years ago and, in transitioning from conventional production to agroecology,they have implemented this novel marketing method. This strategy is an example of partnership-building for exchanges between producers/traders, nationaluniversities and State rural development agencies.
