Resumen:
The presentation aims to explain the place of communitary spaces of social reproduction oflabour force as soup kitchens, community closets, and so on in social public policies intended for popular neighborhoods in Argentina. This kind of solutions from the roots to deal with economic challenges is another proof of women agency, either self-managed, intermediated by political parties or as a part of an individual action to take care of the people around. Thus, along with the formation of popular neighborhoods to combat real estate commodification, women socialize the functions of social reproduction in the face of the inaccessibility of services such as food, health, education, transportation, and the list goes on.
