Resumen:
This paper analyses the territorial disparities in terms of multidimensional poverty between the Norte Grande Argentino and the other regions of the country in the period 2003-2016. Using data from Encuesta Permanente de Hogares, the paper presents estimates of a Multidimensional Poverty Index based on the Alkire-Foster methodology which considers the dimensions of housing, basic services, education, employment and social security, and income. Results indicate that there has been a reduction in poverty across all regions and, between 2011 and 2016, there has been a significant reduction in regional disparities. Although encouraging, this result must be relativized for different reasons.
