A Hegelian Alternative to the Myth of the Given

Theaim of this paper is to show a new alternative to the myth of the giveninspired by Hegel. First, we will consider why the given can be considered amyth and how it already appears in the Phenomenologyof Spirit under the notion of Sense-Certainty. Next, we will show aHegelian alternative to the myth called, broadly, the conceptualist theory.Then, this position will be critiqued, given that it falls into a fundamentalproblem that we will call the myth of the origin. Finally, we will presentanother Hegelian alternative to the myth of the given that avoids the myth ofthe origin, recurring to the notion of conceptual supervenience.
