On the Role of Masterpieces

Returning to a previous paper on the subject, this presentation explores human behavior in relation to the so-called "masterpieces" as second-person processes and advances three criteria for their recognition, understood as not necessary but jointly sufficient conditions, namely, the criteria of exemplarity, empathy and historical transmissibility.
