Resumen:
The relevance of "Kapitalismus als Religion" (1921) is double. On the one hand, it provides, at the same time, certain keys to understand Benjamin's early theoretical approach to modern culture. On the other hand it allows us to compare Benjamin's conception of capitalism as religion with the conception of capitalism that emerges from the Arcades Project, revealing the other side of the process of secularización as a reactivation of mythic forces
