Resumen:
Expositor invitado: The relevance of "Kapitalismus als Religión" (1921) is double. On the one hand, it provides, at the same time, certain keys to understand Benjamin´s early theoretical approach to modern culture. On the other hand it allows us to compare Benjamin´s conception of capitalism as religion with the conception of capitalism that emerges from the Arcades Project, revealing the other side of the process of secularización as a reactivation of mythic forces.
