Resumen:
Introduction: There is much debate about possible antagonismbetween high milk production and reproductive performance.Ovarian steroid hormones primarily regulate uterinefunction by stimulating growth factors and their receptors playingan important role in the regulation of uterine functions. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect ofmilking production level on the endometrial expression byRT-qPCR of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), vascularendothelial growth factor receptor 1 and 2 (VEGFR1 andVEGFR2), nodal growth differentiation factor (NODAL) and epidermalgrowth factor receptor (EGFR) during diestrus in dairycows.Materials and methods: This study was conducted in twocommercial dairy farms located Buenos Aires province, Argentina.Grazing Holstein dairy cows >50 days postpartum withoutany clinical disease and with BCS =>2.50 were included in thestudy. Cows were randomly select and allocated in threegroups: 1) High milk production cows (HMP, ~10.000 kg/305d.,2) Medium milk production cows (MMP, ~7.500 kg/305d., 25 l/day, 3) Anestrus cows (ANE, follicles
