Resumen:
Glycine Betaine (GB) and Proline (Pro) are two major organis somolytes thar accumulate in a variety of plants species in response to enviromental stresses such as drought, salinity and extreme temperatures. Although their actual roles in plant osmotolerance remain controvelsial, both compounds are thought to have positive effects on the membrane. In this context, evaluation of controlled dehydration of DPPC MLV´s in presence of these amino acids by FTIR-ATR was performed. The information of functional groups on IR spectra was related to dipole potential and surface pressure on DPPC monolayers.
