Two equine influenza outbreaks were observed in Germany during 2014January 2014 outbreak: Florida clade 2. In Genbank: A/equine/NorthRhineWestphalia/1/2014 Acc No KJ538149. It also caused an outbreak in December 2013 in the same region.August-Sept 2014 outbreak: Sequence sent to Adam. Clade 2. One AA substitution (at the signal peptide) and one ?key? substitution at position 135 (R -Arginine- to K -Lysine) compared to A/equine/North Rhine Westphalia/1/2014. Detected viruses are V179 (Valine) and as Richmond in A144 position (Alanine)
