Resumen:
Conceptual and intellectual historians do not have to confront and make a case among their peers for arguing in defense of historical approaches and thus could practice conceptual history of international relations and international po- litical theory in their own right. Friendship among Nations: History of a Con- cept by Evgeny Roshchin should be read primarily as a conceptual history approach to the study of the notion of friendship in international relations, international political and legal theory, and diplomatic practice. However, it is a study deeply engaged with and embedded in all these transformations in these three fields and perfectly aware of the connections that could be built for the profit of conceptual history in particular and interdisciplinary research in general. One of the most important merits of this book is that it provides insights into these three fields and could potentially reach a wider readership among conceptual historians, political theorists, international lawyers, and international relations scholars.
