This work presents a mophometric analysis of ?Talacasto?s Basin?. It is based on a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) proccesing, in SIG context. It analysed principal and derived parameters. The basin is situated in approximately 80km northwest of San Juan, in the geological province of Central Precordillera. The lack of such studies in the San Juan Province highlights the importance of this analysis. Studying the above mentioned parameters, among others, allows for future analysis of the increased susceptibility to hazards caused by mass removal processes (MRP) occurring in the area because it contains the National Route No. 149 and Provincial Route No. 436, main access to the North and West of the province occurs in this zone.
