Through contemporary films of diverse genres: Notas para una película (2022) by IgnacioAgüero, Rey (2017) by Niles Atallah, or Gigantes (2020) by Natalia Cano, we will observehow they record landscapes through colonial archives in the Argentine-Chilean Patagonias.We will work from the perspective of relational geography, which looks for points of contactand points of contact and exchanges between both countries, in order to think about howcolonial scars survive in the present and are critically re-actualized through cinema.Through the selected corpus, we will observe how the representation of the Patagonianlandscape enters into a "trance" generating a "landscape out of itself" (Andermann, 2018).
