Resumen:
The Tordillosprospect is a copper (U-V) deposit hosted in the coarsest facies of thepaleochannels of Huincul Formation. The U anomalies (135ppm and 251ppm) areerratic and correlate with the presence of abundant supergene V-U-bearingminerals. Cu mineralization consists of interstitial Cu and Fe sulfidesreplacing early barite cement (1, 2). A tree generation of barite (3) veins cutthe previous cements and grains. U mineralization is formed by francevillitaand carnotite and spatial associatedto barite (cements and veins) and Cu supergene minerals. Their texturalrelationships have revealed that cupper sulfates precipitation played an important role in theprecipitation of K and Ba uranil vanadates.
