Resumen:
The natural heritage is the set of objects of natural origin that are significant for society as they offer multiple benefits and possess scientific, educational and aesthetic use. Protected areas are the scene of their conservation and enhancement. Each area has a unique resource or environment, which is why it was protected. The first step in the analysis of the natural heritage is to make a hierarchy of resources to identify the main one. In Argentina there are more than 400 protected areas of different jurisdictions integrated by the Federal System of Protected Areas. The objective of this work was to analyze the natural heritage of the protected areas of the province of La Pampa. Two areas were selected: the Lihué Calel National Park and the Park Luro Provincial Reserve. In principle, the hierarchy of the elements was established and the main resources were established. In the National Park are the hills of Lihué Calel while in the Provincial Reserve, the forest of caldén (Prosopis caldenia). Different methodologies were selected to establish the geodiversity and biodiversity of protected areas. For the hills the geomorphosites were evaluated and their value of geodiversity was established. In the forest was applied to transect sampling of vegetation formations of phanerophytes and chamaephytes. These analyzes are extremely important for the province of La Pampa because, at present, it lacks exhaustive analyzes of the heritage for good management.
